Job Description
As the MouthPad^ Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for physically assembling MouthPads^ and Charging cases. These are delicate and largely manual processes which require the use of a variety of hand and power tools to complete. As you assemble MouthPads^, you will also perform various Quality Assurance tasks, fulfillment tasks, and documentation duties, recording environmental conditions, anomalies, and MouthPad^ functioning. As you become familiar with the manufacturing process, you will work with engineers to improve and refine it.
This is an in-person contractor position, and will require your presence at our San Francisco facility. You will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to scale up to 40 hours per week based on production needs.
Responsibilities
- You must be willing to always wear proper (provided) PPE while working, including Gloves, Respirators, and different types of Safety Goggles. This is for your protection and the protection of our customers.
- You must be able to follow long and complex procedures.
- You must understand the value of clear and concise documentation and be willing to create it.
Looking For
- Strong attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity. Experience working with electronics or making jewelry may be helpful.
- Good engineering and physical intuition and first-principles understanding.
Bonus
- Familiarity with CAD software like Rhino, Blender, Onshape, Fusion, etc.
- Familiarity with 3D Printer operation (especially resin printers)
- Familiarity with Laboratory or Clean environments
- Hands-on fabrication experience
Compensation
Starting rate: $25/hr (contractor), approximately 20 hours per week with the potential to scale to 40 hours per week.
Hourly rate is subject to increase as productivity and quality goals are met consistently. This is a contractor role and is not eligible for employee benefits.
